CES 2011: Etón Corporation Announces Grundig S450DLX Shortwave Field Radio

(LAS VEGAS – Upper South Hall, Booth #30959 – January 4, 2011) – Etón Corporation, a leading emergency preparedness company and creator of green-powered electronics, announces the Grundig S450DLX Shortwave Field Radio at CES 2011. The S450DLX features improved audio fidelity with lower distortion and a large LCD backlight. The S450DLX will be seen for the first time at booth #30959 in the Upper South Hall.

Etón Corporation is the sole licensee and distributor of Grundig radio in North America, and the S450DLX Field Radio is another reliable radio and information source added to the line, featuring:

  • AM/MW (520-1710 KHz / 522-1620 KHz), FM (88-108 MHz), SW (continuous frequency range from 1711-29999kHz)
  • High performance IC and MOSFET: Provides high sensitivity, strong anti-interference, low background noise and lower distortion
  • MCU Control (micro controller unit) and large LCD backlight display with frequency, clock, battery level indicator and signal strength indicator
  • AM band features dual conversion PLL technology: provides anti-image rejection

In addition, the S450DLX has increased functionality with a 50 station memory (10 presets for each band), a dual alarm with wakeup/snooze/sleep functions and an AM/FM/SW external antenna input socket with the ability to connect to cable FM. The sound quality is amplified with a large, built-in 5-inch full-range speaker with variable independent bass and treble control, and features a stereo line level audio input/output and stereo/mono selection. The black field radio is transported with the attached strap-style carrying handle.“The release of the Grundig S450DLX is perfect timing for consumers, as it coincides with the eleven year sunspot cycle,” said Esmail Amid-Hozour, CEO of Etón Corporation. “The past four years have not been good for shortwave reception, but now with the sunspot cycle on the upswing, signal strengths are much stronger and signals can be heard day and night.”

The Grundig S450DLX Shortwave Filed Radio will be available in early 2011. For more information on Etón Corporation and its products, visit www.etoncorp.com.
