CPSC, Etón Corporation Announce Recall of E1XM
PALO ALTO, CA – In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Etón Corporation is recalling the E1XM (Serial Range 3,067 – 5,462) due to quality control. A missing trace on the circuit board has been discovered which causes the battery to heat-up, leak and possibly rupture. This can cause a fire and/or personal injury to the consumer.
The E1XM AM/FM/SW/XM-Ready Radio’s that are affected fall within serial range 3,067 through 5,462. The serial number is listed underneath the flap on the back of the unit.The Etón logo is located on the bottom left-hand corner of the unit.
High to Mid-Tier Retail, Catalog and On-line avenues sold the E1XM from November 2004 to present for $500.
