Etón Corporation, a leading emergency preparedness company and creator of green-powered electronics, announces its exclusive partnership with the Canadian Red Cross – the country’s leading humanitarian organization. The partnership brings a new line of officially licensed preparedness products, providing families with the the essentials of light, information and energy in unexpected situations.
To prepare for any unforeseen circumstance such as a natural disaster, the Canadian Red Cross encourages all Canadians to share the responsibility for their own safety. It may take emergency workers some time to reach everyone, so it’s important to be prepared to take care of yourself and your family for at least 72 hours in a disaster.
“The Canadian Red Cross plays an essential role for people affected by disaster, meeting their essential needs in shelter, clothing and food,” said Tim Hoswitschka , Director of National Corporate Relations of the Canadian Red Cross. “Equally important is preparedness, which can make a huge impact when disaster does strike. We are pleased to partner with Etón to provide our communities with dependable preparedness products – it represents two respected brands coming together that share a common goal.”
The new Canadian Red Cross line by Etón includes self-powered multi-functional emergency radios. Designed for use when the power fails, the radios can be charged via various sources - hand turbine power generator, alkaline batteries, AC adapter or solar power. Each radio provides AM/FM radio and Environmental Canada weather band channels to provide emergency weather information and public alerts. In addition, the products feature an integrated LED flashlight and a USB port for charging cell phones.
“We are proud to extend our reach and support the mission of the Canadian Red Cross,” said Esmail Hozour, CEO of Etón Corporation. “Unexpected emergencies can hit any region at any time, and the dependability of our products will help our Canadian friends and families be prepared for these situations.”
The Canadian Red Cross products by Etón will be available Q1. Etón Corporation contributes a portion of every unit sold to support the mission of the Canadian Red Cross.
